Our founders Nancy and Rudolf Talbot believed that being in business meant being an active, supportive member of the community. We proudly carry this tradition forward as part of our commitment to corporate responsibility. Over the years, Talbots has supported thousands of non-profit organizations with a continuing emphasis on education. In 2001, the Talbots Charitable Foundation was established as the company's philanthropic arm (a separate 501(c)3 entity). The Foundation maintains a strong focus on educational programs that enrich women's lives.

In Kind Giving

A strong sense of community spirit is woven in the fabric of Talbots culture. The company's in-kind giving program donates merchandise and gift cards to help local organizations raise money through silent auctions and other fundraising efforts. Talbots associates mirror these efforts and generously volunteer their time and services to a wide array of causes. The company also organizes a number of giving campaigns at its Hingham headquarters, collecting gifts for teens with behavioral issues, food and supplies for crisis centers, pet food for animal shelters and much more. Giving back is a year-round tradition at Talbots.
