Women’s Care Cottage (WCC) is a Los Angeles–based nonprofit organization that helps homeless women and children move off the streets permanently and succeed independently in their homes, schools, communities and workplaces.

The J. Jill Compassion Fund grant of $30,000 is being used to fund the WCC’s @Work program, an innovative welfare-to-work initiative that helps homeless women obtain living-wage employment to sustain themselves and their families long-term. Additionally, @Work addresses the individual needs of each client through supportive services, job readiness training and educational activities.
