Ozanam Place is a transitional housing and services program for single parents in need of permanent housing. It has provided a drop-in center, supportive services and life skill educational workshops to more than 400 adults and 425 children.
Eligibility for the Ozanam Place intensive program requires clients to be single drug- and alcohol-free parents with children (or pregnant women), who are motivated to work toward long-term goals. They must also be homeless or at risk of homelessness. Drop-in services are available to any family needing assistance or referral services. Ozanam Place is using the $5,000 Compassion Fund grant toward the Peer Support Drop-in Center and Transitional Supportive Services programs.
