About the Foundation

Talbots Charitable Foundation is a non-profit, charitable foundation, established in 2001 as the philanthropic arm of The Talbots, Inc. Funded by Talbots, the Foundation provides financial assistance to not-for-profit organizations based in the U.S. and Canada that are committed to the education, health and well being of women.

The Foundation can only support non-profits in the form of money and cannot contribute Talbots merchandise or gift cards. See below for the Foundation’s grant criteria and guidelines on requesting non-cash contributions.

Mission Statement

Guided by a belief in a woman’s ability to make a difference, the Talbots Charitable Foundation is committed to helping women learn, pursue their dreams and enjoy healthier, fuller lives. To this end, the Foundation provides financial assistance to non-profit organizations supporting women’s education, health research/awareness initiatives and cultural enrichment programs.

In 2010, the Foundation is focusing all resources on the Talbots Scholarship Foundation, a program that helps women return to college later in life, and the Associate Excellence Award, a scholarship program for the children of Talbots associates.
