helping women learn, pursue their dreams and enjoy healthier, fuller lives. To this end, the Foundation provides
financial assistance to non-profit organizations supporting the education, health and cultural enrichment of women.

The Talbots Charitable Foundation is pleased to offer a scholarship program offering financial assistance to the children
of Talbots associates. Each year, 10 scholarships are granted to graduating
high school seniors enrolled in a full-time undergraduate study program at a college, university or vocational school.
The awards include nine $2,000 scholarships and one $5,000 for the top applicant receiving the Zetcher Excellence Award.
Awards are given annually and are not renewable. Children of retirees are eligible; children of officers and directors are not eligible.
Applications for the 2009 academic year closed April 15, 2009. Winners were notified in June, 2009.

Talbots Scholarship Foundation
In keeping with Talbots long-standing tradition of helping women succeed,
the Talbots Charitable Foundation is proud to offer a scholarship program for women looking to
pursue a college education later in life. This program empowers women to enrich themselves through
learning. To date, over $1 million in scholarships have been awarded to deserving women ranging
in age from their late 20s to 60s.
Completely re-imagined, this program will award $180,000 in college scholarships for the 2010 academic year, including 10 $15,000 scholarships and one $30,000 Nancy Talbot Scholarship Award, presented in memory of the founder of Talbots. This Award will go to the extraordinary finalist demonstrating courage, conviction and an insatiable entrepreneurial spirit. Applications for the 2010 academic year closed January 5, 2010. The 2010 winners will be announced this spring and information about the 2011 program will be posted online in the fall of 2010 (check back at www.talbots.com/scholarship for details).

Eligibility
Applicants to Talbots Scholarship Foundation must:
- Be women currently residing in the United States or Canada;
- Be women who earned a high school diploma or their GED (at least 10 years prior to application);
- Be enrolled or planning to enroll in a full- or part-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school;
- Be attending the full upcoming academic year; and
- Have at least two semesters (24 credit hours or more) remaining to complete an undergraduate degree as of the beginning of the upcoming fall term.
Employees and family members of Talbots and Scholarship America are not eligible to apply to this program.
